no indifference, every one is the same??

"... Stressing on the need for avoiding environmental hazards he said research had found that people should avoid extravagant lifestyles..." See who is talking. Perhaps minister doesn't belongs to the category 'people'.
Mason Tuesday, 04 December 2012 08:20 AM
The change of lifestyle has to come from the top. The ministers firstly have to set an example. Night car races, gala functions to pamper ministers, fleet of fuel guzzling vehicles for use of ministers are going to be the bane of this country.

Honestly was he a good buddhist when he was the government spokeman and made atrocious statements each time a journalist was harrassed, killed and civilians went missing.
MaC Tuesday, 04 December 2012 11:20 AM
Mr Minister , you both are in the government's team , who scrutinize CJ . Is it also related to that drama?

Pot says kettle is black.
Ronny Monday, 03 December 2012 05:47 PM
Both are covered with soot. Yapa is the kettle and Siripala the pot and vice versa.
dass Tuesday, 04 December 2012 01:59 AM
Do not know about the environment, Siripala is famous for taking hasty decisions in the cases involving love.
Muhandiram Tuesday, 04 December 2012 02:14 AM
Whom will Minister Nimal Sripala de Silva blame?

Extravagant lifestyles, my foot!!!!
Hemantha Tuesday, 04 December 2012 02:31 AM
Minister Yapa himself is responsible for many bad environmental decisions such as stopping permits for timber and sand transport and disregard of EIA regulations

Budda said Car racing is vital for MR family, As they pretent to be the best buddhists
John Tuesday, 04 December 2012 03:08 AM
Have you just woken up Mr Minister long after all the wanton destruction to the environment all these years?????
Thomas Ranger Tuesday, 04 December 2012 03:09 AM
One of the best responses I've seen in a long, long time.
Cheers, Ronny.
rumi Monday, 03 December 2012 05:37 PM
dear Yapa. -do you follow what BUDDHA said.
Galle Gamarala Tuesday, 04 December 2012 03:45 AM
My Dear Minister of Environment,
World Climate Change Summit in Doha, Qatar may have adopted it and Sri Lanka may have ratified it. But the parliamentarians continue to lead the extravagant lifestyles. So stop preaching Buddhism in parliament. No research is required to assess Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva's lifestyle and all parliamentarians in the government side do not care what world bodies adopt.
Kautilya Tuesday, 04 December 2012 04:16 AM
Home and home pinching to deceive the people.
Jamieson Tuesday, 04 December 2012 04:16 AM
Extravagant lifestyle ???? The way things are going if the Sri Lankan citizen has a life it will be a wonder. Only the politicians can have this so called extravagance as we can see how the annual expenditure is allocated in the budget.
siribiris Tuesday, 04 December 2012 04:17 AM
Mind-setting may be because of an another reason....
Any way, go ahead Hon.Minister
