Very good improvement in human rights record. GL should include this incident in his report to the UN!
Silva de Mervin Thursday, 09 August 2012 12:19 AM
Rapes, Murders and impunity....
It has already come to the rest of us BUT we know how to shut our eyes, ears and mouths.
God bless mother Lanka.
Nodrog Thursday, 09 August 2012 12:35 AM
Why should we be concerned about the death of a criminal? Do they give a crap before they commit crimes against us? Stop being a hypocrite!
nadarajah Thursday, 09 August 2012 01:01 AM
i feel very sad for the tamil prisioners who have to languish in jails and also get killed in the process .hope the god will punish the individuals who were responsible for the two deaths
ROBERT Thursday, 09 August 2012 01:44 AM
People like KAF are main reason for rascist attitude in SRI LANKA NOW.....
Calistus Jayatilleke Thursday, 09 August 2012 02:43 AM
Wonder if these incidents of custodial deaths have been included in the recently submitted Human Rights report to the UN!
CHANDRAPALA Thursday, 09 August 2012 03:00 AM
Sure, the court will issue an injunction order to the family members of the dead prisoner once again because of the national security. This is very ridiculous.
CHANDRAPALA Thursday, 09 August 2012 03:18 AM
The report will say that it is a natural death.
buffaloa citizen Thursday, 09 August 2012 03:51 AM
Yes the diaspora will go to town, because we sinhalese created them in 1956, 1977 and 1983 riots. Investigation will be pseudo, by the sinhalese for the sinhalese and in favor of the sinhalese. We even failed to nab one culprit in the 1983 riots, so what more.
Sad Sri Lankan Thursday, 09 August 2012 04:20 AM
Mr. Silva, I regret telling you this. But you are a disgrace to the country.
Jagath Leanage Thursday, 09 August 2012 12:21 AM
This is one of the reasons, why some Tamils migrate illegaly to Australia.
Letchmi Thursday, 09 August 2012 05:00 AM
of course, thats the only way they can remain abroad as 2nd class citizens by highlighting incidents such as this to exaggerate the degree of their so-called 'safety' living in SL.
Nodrog Thursday, 09 August 2012 05:06 AM
Why keep the fires of communal hatred burning by still living in the past? Don't generalize by blaming all Sinhalese as only a small section were involved, we do not classify all Tamils as Tigers?
jacoob Thursday, 09 August 2012 06:44 AM
end of the day all is Banana Business!
Rosh Thursday, 09 August 2012 06:51 AM
Then they all must go, making their eelam in aussie soil, and leave this country to others.
Dalu Banda Thursday, 09 August 2012 07:06 AM
Every body should understand that prison riots means death for several, any ware in the world even in US.
Cheena Thursday, 09 August 2012 07:35 AM
Navaneethampillai this is over to you, Wake up UN.
Nodrog Thursday, 09 August 2012 10:05 AM
What crap. And you suppose the guard walked away peacefully with the 'innocent' prisoners when they took him captive? You are a buffaloa so stop talking like a frog in the well.
upul Wednesday, 08 August 2012 02:12 PM
Sad. Ultimately another Sri Lanakan.
Yehiya Wednesday, 08 August 2012 11:41 AM
The way is open to international monitors. Defence must need achange. Need a good administrative secretary.
Nodrog Wednesday, 08 August 2012 11:44 AM
Oh no! the diaspora will go to town now. Only way to be vindicated is to investigate and punish whoever is responsible.
buffaloa citizen Wednesday, 08 August 2012 12:09 PM
These tamil prisoners were peacefully protesting by refusing food for their illegal imprisonment without presenting them to a court of law for the past many years. The State stage managed this incident by publicising that these barely able to walk and hungry prisoners had taken the jailors captive.
Dadoriya Wednesday, 08 August 2012 12:02 PM
The UNHRC, please take note.
RamUk Wednesday, 08 August 2012 12:34 PM
First they came for the Jews and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists and I did not speak out because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me
Dear fellow citizens of Mother Lanka speak now or forever hold your peace
Dadoriya Wednesday, 08 August 2012 01:09 PM
On one side we have the "Reconstruction, Resettlement, Rehabilitation, Reintegration and Reconciliation (5Rs)" conference. One the other side we have the death of a prisnoer. Who is trying to fool who. Today the world is open, where news travel fast and cheap that to the Internet.
SudhuPuncha Wednesday, 08 August 2012 02:02 PM
u may get away with it now!!!!!!!!!!!!! but ure karma will catch up with u in the end!!!!!!!!!!!!!then u will understand the agony of killing innocent lives!!!!
Fazli Wednesday, 08 August 2012 01:54 PM

Jawfer Wednesday, 08 August 2012 11:28 AM
Surrendered people dying one by one
We are so merciless . We are not human being
We take revenge. We do not forgive each other
We talk more but do less, We are going towards disaster.
Really shame on people who are responsible for these deaths
SL Wednesday, 08 August 2012 02:26 PM
Is taking prison guards hostage a way of peaceful protest? Your name says all.
silva Wednesday, 08 August 2012 03:02 PM
Not worry ,another Tamil minus one
Telemachus Wednesday, 08 August 2012 04:16 PM
So, your worry is not about the death of a human being but that the diaspora will take to the streets?!
KAF Wednesday, 08 August 2012 04:35 PM
You people shed tears on TERRORISTS, but no one shed tears now about those innocent civilians killed by LTTE. SHAME ON YOU>
Minister Wednesday, 08 August 2012 04:54 PM
Tamil or Sinhala he was yet another son of Mother Lanka!
Silva de Mervin Wednesday, 08 August 2012 11:57 PM
What a mentality!
God bless you KAF!!!
Magnanimity in victory will bring out the beauty of humanity.
Remember that many hardcore terrorist have been eliminated and these detainees were forcefully recruited by the LTTE.
They don't deserved to dye this way!!!
Jagath Leanage Thursday, 09 August 2012 12:17 AM
