Singer Amal Perera, who was arrested today by the Kalutara South Police, was released on bail by the Kalutara Magistrate
Mr.Perera was arrested by the Payagala Police for not heeding Police orders.Inquiries revealed that a warrant for his arrest had been issued in 1997.

A warrant issued 15 years ago is being enforced now. That is also due to a road offense. This guy is not in hiding. He is a singer and his face and name is all over the media and the internet.

Why this warrant is being enforced now?
