At least seven people including four women were arrested today when police raided an alleged brothel in Pasyala on the Colombo-Kandy Road. Human being need to have sexual outlet, in sri lankan context sex should only happened within a marriage. Marriage is a more or less determined by the economic context . So given its backward economiy and lack of opportunity,there are no soicaly accepted way of sexual out let. This why rape rate is going up.
Our moron politician and religeous advisers will never learn this.

Prostitution and rape will go away from this earth when everyone has true love and lover from teenages.
Encourage love. Show and teach our children what true love is. Let our children to have a lover with deep commited love. Teach them how to handle their sexuality safe and harmless.
We have created a sick world by forbidding love and natural sex.

Shazz, look at this way, If you legalize it, authorities would have easy access to brothel house. Monitoring would be easy. Even health benefit like screening for HIV and AIDS can be carried out. And we would have a count of sex workers, and houses. It will not be under the carpet. When its not legalized, lots of irregularities happen, as u said the rape and selling etc., and doesnt come to authorities notice.One thing, we cannot stop this trade. Not a single country from the known years of mankind, could stop this. So, no point thinking of stopping it, better manage the problem properly.
