US and Western countries killed so many innocent civilian when they staged the war against Sadam Husain, and war against Taliban in Afghanistan. We Sri Lankan now living in peace, after erdication of terrorism. We should strongly condemn their interfearance in our country.

Just a waste of time nothing would happen!
The hidden agenda is: the govt. should be tried not the LTTErs because they were all dead and gone!

    adahan Tuesday, 21 December 2010 12:18 PM

Time to time the government keeps making expressions contradicting its stand on war cimes giving room to our antagonists to poke their nose.

    perumal Tuesday, 21 December 2010 01:24 PM

It is a fact that security forces did not commit war cfrimes. But what about LTTE? Why does govt. protect criminals like Karuna, Pilleyan and KP?

    Go-Rilla Tuesday, 21 December 2010 09:44 AM

The gov have to prove that they have not done anynothing wrong.....

    janaki Tuesday, 21 December 2010 01:42 PM

Rajapakse wait until they are proved. WE all would love to believe that but the truth must prevail. Let the UN panel investigate and give their report please.

    Kelby Tuesday, 21 December 2010 02:07 PM

All the democratic countries have observed the behavior of Srilanka. The leaked cables have shows what the western governments really think about the politics in Srilanka. There is no point in MR claims all the allegations are false are absurd. India also knows who is the partner in crime.

Said Hussein Tuesday, 21 December 2010 02:29 PM

The real truth will be exposed very soon.

Innocent never run away. Only criminal will run away from investigation. Which category you are fall into?

    TPB Tuesday, 21 December 2010 04:27 PM

Sooo the only way to prove that it is the LTTE who is spreading this malicious allegations is to be open and allow any and all organizations to investigate. If we are clean that will put LTYE in their place

    KHKaru Tuesday, 21 December 2010 06:01 PM

There are two rules governing the world politics today. Rule 1.- U.S. is always right! Rule 2.- If it is not, by any chance, refer to rule no.1. Now that they have set their minds to teach us a lesson, I won't be surprised if next time the U.S. allege our country of having Weapons of Mass Destruction or Nuclear or biological weapons!

    victoria Tuesday, 21 December 2010 11:08 PM

Only Karuna, KP and Pillyan left??

    Behavior doesn't prove that

    Chin Tuesday, 21 December 2010 07:05 AM

We all know the current allegations are a part of LTTE terrorists well organised worldwide mechanism. Although the LTTE and their open and hidden supporters faced unexpected defeat in Sri Lanka their funding ,links and actions in various bodies still continuing and we who are living in Sri Lanka know how to deal with them. Now it is very clear who supported terrorists destabilize South Asia and they will fail again as they failed in making separate puppet states in SriLanka and in South India . Not only Sri Lankans, all the leaders in Asia are aware of it.

    Mewan Tuesday, 21 December 2010 07:10 AM

To prove whom. Don't you remember how they proved that Iraq has WMD. Can't you see the results of that "Proof".
Proof is there in the wikileaks. go and read it.

Which mechanism at INTERNATIONAL level? Can repeating a 'lie' several times makes it 'truth'?

Common Man Tuesday, 21 December 2010 07:51 AM

Anyone could make allegation for their own reasons. The real truth is people of these areas are enjoying life now & beginning to feel their newfound freedom.

    prabath Tuesday, 21 December 2010 07:52 AM

As a Sri Lankan we all would like to hear that these allegations are false. But won't it be better if someone else says it, rather than ourselves??? Why don't we allow the so called investigations to go forward and clear our names???

    pd Tuesday, 21 December 2010 07:56 AM

    Mohamed Tuesday, 21 December 2010 06:38 AM

I hope that the Govt can prove that these allegations are false.

    pon Tuesday, 21 December 2010 08:11 AM

MR knows he has to keep the military reassured that none of them will face an international investigation and so he will say what needs to be said. Having said this I wonder if any person on those vedio clips shown on channel 4 can be proved to be from the military. If so, MR is in deep .

    John Tuesday, 21 December 2010 08:13 AM

If there were no war crimes , why should we worry. Let them come and find.

Jaya from Kandy Tuesday, 21 December 2010 08:16 AM

    TMA Tuesday, 21 December 2010 08:25 AM
