The government said that all the provincial roads throughout the country will be carpeted before the end of 2012. “One third of the provincial roads will be carpeted this year. As long as there is a good cut, they will do anything. Otherwise they will not even consider it. Maybe even say it is unpatriotic!

The Minister of Economic Development is one who backs up his words with deed. But please have proper co-ordination with other utility providers. It is sad to see the roads being dug up to provide water supply connections a few days after it has been carpeted.

Upkeep the road also very important. Some carpeted road within few days or week damaged due to poor drainage system or poor workmanship. Please look in to that.

Maintaining and repairing the road network of the country is an essential duty of the Government in power, and not gift to be offered by the politician on a golden platter to the people!

Good step taken for the development of this country Hon. Minister, Respect you for that! However please choose people who would do a neat job as you can see what happens is that they carpet the road and after few days there are holes in the middle of the road, it’s very pathetic and embarrassing situation for the entire country and the people in it. As a person who has been to other countries like dubai, saudi, Malaysia, UK it saddens me when the comparison ticks off in my brain. Lets hope for the best however
