There seems to be compassion coming from everywhere except our govt.

Earlier, he was the special peace envoy. Now just an envoy for resettlement, reconciliation. Next, what?
Why don't they mind their own business? Their PM resigned very recently and have enough internal issues.
Can anybody name one thing he did for the peace in SL?

Japan was a true friend of only JR (TV was introduced to Sri Lanka by Ranil's brother Shan, and Ranil's cousin Anil Wijewardene. Just as the Chinese were true to Sirimavo Bandaranaike (built the Bandaranaike Internatuional Conference Hall). What have MR's close friends like Iran, Palestine, Libya, Myanmar given to MR? India is not a true friend - see the dead rope they gave the Sri Lanka government which spent so much money on preparations for IIFA!!!!

If Akashi truly loves Sri Lanka he will give grants - not loans.

This guy didn't achieve anything in the past and will not in future. Do not spend any tax payers money on him

Mr.Akashi has done nothing to help the tamil commuinity even after all the suufering they have under gone. Making twenty trips to Colomobo means nothing if he can not achive constructive progress to the effected community.

Don’t worry nothing will change, like last 19 visits. Even if its 50th visit, Mr.Rajapaksha will ruled the country and Mr.Wikramasighe will be the leader of opposition.

We have had people from Norway in the past as well as this joker but nothing happened. I think these guys are using innocent IDP's to get something for them...just like government does. Every country in Sri Lanka is the same, taking nonsense without really looking at the needs of the people.

Japan is an exemplary partner and freind to Sri Lanka since 1950, doling out assistance and aid honestly. Never has Japan demanded projects, TV or Radio stations or instituting addiotional high commissions against the aid offered. Today we see the present government appeasing Pakistan, China and India heavily favoring those countries in a demanding gesture due to assistance rendererd for the past two years to battle the LTTE. This is shame on our soveriegnity, that is if their is anything left in it now.
