Accident involving Pillayan’s jeep; One injured

A bicycle rider was seriously injured when the Jeep carrying former Eastern Province Chief Minister S.Chandrakanthan alias Pillayan had hit the bicycle at Pothuhera today, Police said.

The jeep was going towards Batticaloa from Colombo at the time of the accident. The driver and were the jeep waere taken into custody and the seriously injured rider was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Kurunegala Hospital.
