A bid to enjoy the long weekend through an outing to the central hills by a group of Young men from Ragama came to a tragic end when two of them were drowned after falling from Aberdeen Falls in Ginigathhena this morning.
Police Spokesman Ajith Rohana said the two deceased persons were having a bath during the lunch time when one had fallen from the falls. The other met with the same unfortunate end when he tried to rescue his friend.
Police Sopksman said the two young men aged 21 and 20 were having a bath while the others were enjoying their lunch.
The deceased persons have been identified as Rangana Manoj Angamana aged 21 and Jeevantha Sandakelum Nawalage aged 20 residents of Ragama. (Sanath Desmond)

May they rest in peace.Is this an alcohol related? If so these young men should be tought what excessive alcohol can do to you. The problem with lot of people is that they take alcohol to get intoxicated, it should be taken in moderation to enjoy.

it was not alcohol session after all. both the kids are Te-to tellers and it was really unfortunate.. i know them personally. it is merely a fate..
