If actions are routinely taken against such people, this wouldn't have become a news today. It is published here since we don't hear of disciplinary actions quite often or a strike by employees for sending someone home.

Journalism should be news from both sides, it may have been a false complain too . Mostly lady doctors are found to be too proud. The punished employee may have been the real victim, may be for refusing to do some work or for arguing.
If the harassment have come from a male doctor, it may have been excused too .
