The government has taken steps to facilitate those who temporarily reside in the Western Province for work and are stranded due to the curfew, to return home in other parts of the country.
“Many people who are temporarily residing in the Western Province due to their jobs are currently stranded and unable to get to their hometowns. We have taken measures to return them back home without undue delay,” Western Province Governor Marshal of the Air Force Roshan Goonetileke said.
They are required to follow the guidelines set by the Director General Health Services when moving from one place to another, he said.
Meanwhile, Senior DIG in charge of the Western Province Deshabandu Tennakoon said, on the instruction of the Western Province Governor they would make the arrangements to evacuate workers trapped in certain institutions and lodges in the Western Province.

Though it is mentioned as above, no action has been taken regarding above topic by some police divisions. We have requested more than 4 times to pay attention and let us to move our home city with an accurate steps by a certain police division.but they say that they were not informed by any related responsible person in about the trapped workers out from western province.. We are facing lots of problems here with out meals, water and other sanitary facilities as we were not given the permission by the police division to move our home with an accurate methods suit to the pandemic case in the country.
