President Maithripala Sirisena said today that he had decided to appoint a new Governor to the Central Bank within a few hours.
He said this at the Kidney disease prevention programme held in Giradurukotte, Badulla this morning.

The President is trying to do what is right and has to move away from political influence to appoint someone professional and cable to restore the image of the SL Central Bank. Lot of cleaning up to be done. There are also second tier professionals who have made loads of deals and continue to manipulate the system.
