An inmate at the Welikada prison has tested positive for Covid-19, the government Information Department said quoting Director General of Health Services Anil Jasingha said.
He said the inmate was transferred to the Welikada Prison from the Kandakadu Drug Rehabilitation Centre on June 27.
PCR tests will be conducted on close associates of the inmate as well as prison officers.

Probably will turn out to be negative in couple of days, after 5 more tests.
