MPs such as C. V. Vigeneshwaran will have repent for undermining the status quo of the Sinhalese community, SJB MP Sarath Fonseka said today.
Speaking during the debate on the Vote on Account in Parliament yesterday, Field Marshal Fonseka said, those who undermine the Sinhalese community may have to face an unpleasant situation.
" MPs such as Mr. Vigeneshwaran try to undermine the status quo of the Sinhalese by stating that Tamil is the oldest language spoken in this country. He is trying to imply that the Sinhalese arrived in this island after the Tamils. He cannot be another Prabhakaran as he is too old for it" Field Marshal Fonseka said.
" Mr. Vigeneshwaran should realise the situation he would have to face if he tries to become another Prabhakaran" he added. (Yohan Perera and Ajith Siriwardana)
