The validity period granted to use the service identity card as a curfew pass for those engaged in essential services has been extended till May 31, DIG Ajith Rohana said.
Accordingly, the passes which were to be expired tomorrow can be used until May 31.
DIG Rohana said employees in the sectors of Ports, Customs, Immigration and Emigration, Petroleum, Telecommunication, Water and Electricity Supply, Agricultural, SLTB, Railways, Treasury, Central Bank, Private and State Banks and Media have been granted permission until May 31 to use their service identity card as a curfew pass.
