Mass Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella has made a request to the COVID-19 Task Force to provide vaccines to journalists as well.
The Ministry said the Minister had made the request at the COVID-19 Task Force meeting.
“The journalists have been in the forefront of the pandemic as they have been reporting COVID-19 related incidents right throughout from the beginning of the pandemic,” the Minister underlined.
According to the Ministry, about 6,000 journalists have been registered and out of which 1,150 are provincial journalists. (Sheain Fernandopulle)
