Two more Covid-19 deaths reported

Two individuals passed away due to Covid-19 today bringing the total Covid-19 deaths in Sri Lanka to 96.

According to the Government Information Department, a female aged 45 and a male aged 80 are among the deceased.

The details of the victims are as follows,

A 45-year-old female from Colombo 12 was pronounced dead at the National Hospital Colombo on November 23. The cause of death was identified as high blood pressure along with Covid-19 infection.

An 80-year-old male, a resident of Pannipitiya succumbed to the virus at the Pimbura Base Hospital today after being transferred from the Jayawardenapura Hospital. The cause of death was ruled as severity of liver disease due to Covid-19 infection. (Sheain Fernandopulle)
