Two Iranian nationals who had stolen foreign currency worth nearly Rs. 600, 000 from a foreign currency exchange centre in Wennappuwa were arrested last night.
The suspects who had entered the foreign currency exchange centre on August 10 saying that they wanted to exchange some foreign currency had committed the theft and fled the area.
They surrendered to the Wennappuwa police last night on the instructions of the officials of the Iranian embassy in Colombo. (Jude Samantha)
