With 11 new Covid-19 cases being reported by this evening the total number of coronavirus patients in Sri Lanka has risen to 162.
Director General of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe said three out of the 11 patients identified today were from the Jaffna quarantine facility. Among the 11 patients are two returnees from the United States and South Korea who had been in another quarantine facility. One Covid-19 patient was identified from the Puttalam quarantine centre while another patient has been identified from Chilaw.
Dr. Jasinghe said that a person who had closely associated foreigners, a pregnant woman from a quarantined area in Kalutara as well as another person who associated the Covid-19 patient from Akurana were also among the new patients.
