The Colombo High Court today remanded former United National Party Secretary, Tissa Attanayake until December 5.
The former MP was noticed to appear in Court today with regard to an indictment filed by the Attorney General for allegedly publishing a letter with forged signatures of the then Common Opposition candidate Maithripala Sirisena and the then Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe during the 2015 Presidential election.
High Court Judge Sarojani Kusala Weerawardena refused to grant the suspect bail.
Attanayake was indicted on three counts, for committing offences under the Penal Code, International Political and Civil Rights Convention and Presidential Election Act. (Shehan Chamika Silva and Farook Thajudeen)

This is absurd. What is happening today, mostly in NE, is what Tissa predicted. And revealed exclusively. Are we to believe what President Sirisena said recently with regard to the actions of FCID, CID, Bribery Commission etc. with this latest arrest of Tissa A.?
