A man, his wife and his father, who had been under many arrests warrants, were arrested in Wattala yesterday, the Peliyagoda Police said.
The Police said officers of the Peliyagoda Division Crimes Investigation Unit arrested the 41-year-old suspect, who had 13 open warrants against him, at Hunupitiya yesterday.
The suspect was handed over to the Peliyagoda Police.
When the suspect's wife and his father presented to get bail for the suspect, the Police found that they too were under open arrest warrants and arrested them.
The Police said three arrest warrants had been issued against the 38-year old woman, while two were issued against the 63-year-old father.
The main suspect was remanded till June 4, while his wife and father were released on bail after produced in the Negombo Magistrate’s Court.(Darshana Sanjeewa)

The question is not " How come people with many arrest warrant get bailed out this fast " ... How did they manage to evade 13 arrest warrants and move about free as birds ? Tells a whole lot about all of us can be bought out-right police force.
