Three more die of Covid-19

Three more individuals succumbed to Covid-19 today taking the death toll of Covid-19 in Sri Lanka to 99.

According to the Government Information Department, two males aged 87, 80 and a female aged 73 are among the deceased.

The details of the victims are as follows,

1. An 87-year-old male from Colombo 08 was pronounced dead at the National Hospital Colombo today. The cause of death was identified as a bacterial infection with Covid-19 infection and chronic lung disease.

2. An 80-year-old male, a resident of Bambalapitiya succumbed to the virus at the IDH yesterday. The cause of death was ruled as high blood pressure and pneumonia and heart attack due to Covid-19 infection.

3. A 73-year-old female, a resident of Peliyagoda passed away at the National Hospital Colombo on November 23. The cause of death was identified as diabetes, high blood pressure and stroke associated with Covid-19 infection. (Sheain Fernandopulle)
