Three leading drug smugglers have been arrested with 1 kilogram of heroin by The Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) during a raid in Colombo early this morning, Police said.
Police also seized two brand new vehicles during the raid.
Police investigation revealed that suspects have connection with notorious drug smugglers Samantha Kumara alias Wele Suda and Suse, who were in remand custody on charges of drug smuggling and they were directing the racket.
Police suspect that an international drug cartel may have connections to the racket. (Darshana Sanjeewa)
