All-rounder Thisara Perera has called for a change in the limited over captaincy in order to bring in unity and stability in the national side ahead of this year’s cricket World Cup in England. In a letter addressed to Sri Lanka Cricket CEO Ashley de Silva, Perera added there is no environment of unity in the side since Lasith Malinga took over the captaincy ahead of the recent New Zealand series.
“We are at the verge of a world cup. Our focus and attention should be on performing well at it instead of bickering over social media on pointless issues. The team is in dire need of steady leadership and guidance. Importantly as environment of unity is needed in the dressing room. Something we lack very desperately at the moment. These issues need ractifying ahead of the World Cup,” Perera wrote in his letter.

These big headed bunch of talk show kings should all go. We lose test matches with in 2 and half days and mostly all ODI's no matter who is leading. We should sack all 15 players and get the team B for the world cup. one thing will be sure. end result will not change. we will still come home from the first round. but at least we will have 15 fresh eyes to look for the years to come.

Too many soft "man-child's" in our cricket team. When other teams- the world over, are worried about their fitness levels, technique, finding out the best possible strategy; our guys are worrying about this type of petty gossip led issues? No wonder SLC is a bottom-feeder now.

Thisara Perera show where the Trouble is. Should get rid of him first. He's dragging internal team issues to the media by publishing supposed letter he written to CEO for whole world to see. Thisara show he has no regard of Sri Lankan team reputation. Selfish fellow. should drooped him from the team forthwith.

As a nation, we are heading nowhere. Cricket, which kept us at the pinnacle is now regressing.

Disgraceful to see the current standards and behavior of National cricketers. Captain and management has no control.
