UPFA MP Namal Rajapaksa said the Supreme Court’s interim order on the dissolution of parliament was not the Court's final decision.
In a tweet he said he had never seen politicians get ‘so excited’ over postponing of elections.
“The UNP has a history of postponing polls but eventually voters will decide,” he said.

Yes correct. In the mean time go and prove your majority in parliament tomorrow which os also an election to prove majority. You cant be scared of that right?
palle Tuesday, 13 November 2018 08:45 PM
Present parliament does not depict the ground-truth. People's mandate is above all.

Anyway, SC didn't wait until the 06th of January to satisfy you! It was fast enough, unisono and is a stay (away from) order.
Nuwan Tuesday, 13 November 2018 08:27 PM

Does this under the table lawyer realise the importance of upholding the constitution of a country ??We are exited about the rule of law and not for postponing elections. If not for the constitution the President can dissolve the parliament even one day after the election !!!
Dee Tuesday, 13 November 2018 08:34 PM
Yes actually this would have been the ideal time to have elections and send your lot off to hell permanently
Roshan Tuesday, 13 November 2018 08:37 PM
Everyone knows its an INTERIM ORDER. You dont need to educate us. We're not in 1900's so dont bother educating us and wasting your time. Thanks in advance...
Democrat Tuesday, 13 November 2018 08:37 PM
We also don’t see people excited over dissolution of parliament. It’s elected for 5 years. We are paying taxes for each election. It costs 500 chores according to election commissioner. You think it’s fun to have elections at somebodies discretion
De Silva Tuesday, 13 November 2018 08:42 PM
Get lost Namal... Accept the defeat....
Shas Tuesday, 13 November 2018 08:44 PM

Voldy Tuesday, 13 November 2018 08:48 PM
No, but it means parliament can convene and defeat your father's illegal government.
Samson Tuesday, 13 November 2018 08:50 PM
Synthetic lawyer is correct. People won their rights for democracy. Now show your strength in Parliament and get the Parliament and the president dissolved so that both elections can be held on the same day.
Busted Tuesday, 13 November 2018 08:57 PM
Oh! You sure know what it is. You should not speak from the end that sun doesn't shine.
Park Tuesday, 13 November 2018 08:58 PM

This decision says that it is not that easy to define the constitution with one or two words. We all must support to keep law and order at highest place, it for our own safety.
