A 72-year-old COVID-19 infected patient died at the IDH, Angoda, on Wednesday evening(1), bringing the total number of COVID-19 deaths to three in Sri Lanka, official sources said.
They said the victim was a resident of the Maradana area. The deceased, who was a travel agent by profession was admitted to the IDH earlier on Wednesday, sources added.

Those who hide the illness should be considered as terrorists and sealed off in their homes. Terrorists could not do more damage.

Not withstanding what is articulated by the so called Muslim Leaders the dead body should be cremated as per WHO guidelines. Allow the government to handle the situation. HDG

Many people are using this as an opportunity to indulge in casual racism. What is the harm in burying the body in a body bag? They are burying the dead in both Spain and Italy. We may not understand it but Moslems believe the body has to be intact to be resurrected on judgement day. So just show a bit of Buddhist tolerance if you can manage such a thing. Not everything needs to be rational. I am sure there are people who think its a waste of public money sprinkling pirith pan on the land using air force helicopters.
