Ten claymore mines recovered from abandoned well in Kilinochchi

Ten claymore mines, 42 mortar bomb and 65 hand grenades were recovered from an abandoned well in Kilinochchi by the Army personnel this afternoon.

Army Media Spokesman Brigadier Jayanath Jayaweera said the recovered unserviceable explosives must have been hidden by the LTTE during the war period.

However, he said, investigations are being carried out.
