Swede who fell sick during whale watching trip dies

The 74-year-old Swedish national, who became seriously ill during a whale watching expedition, died after he was admitted to the Matara Hospital yesterday, the Police said.

The deceased was a member of a group of foreigners, who went out to sea from the Welisara Fishery Harbour yesterday on a whale-watching expedition.

The foreigner died after he was admitted to the hospital.

The cause of death is yet to be determined.
