Sumanthiran's security beefed up

Speaker Karu Jayasuriya yesterday informed Parliament that he has ordered the defense authorities to provide adequate security to TNA MP M A Sumanthiran who is said to be facing death threats.

The Speaker said he made this decision following a request made by MP Sumanthiran and on reports of a plot to assassinate him. (Yohan Perera)
