A stock of live ammunition was recovered from the Kelani River at Nawagamuwa today, Police said.
They said a fisherman had informed the police about the ammunition.
Accordingly, the police recovered 4 rounds of Bore-12 ammunition, 15 rounds of 9mm ammunition and 56 ammunition of .22.
The Police suspect that the stock of ammunition had been purposefully abandoned in the river. However, no one has been arrested yet. (DSB)
