President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday agreed to place the State Banks under the purview of Public Enterprise Development Minister Lakshman Kiriella, Daily Mirror learns.
In assigning subjects and responsibilities to the Ministers, the President gazetted the State Banks under Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera. However, Mr. Kiriella, who held them previously, protested the move. He also said it was a revengeful act by the President.
The President told the Cabinet yesterday that he did not intend to take revenge from anyone in this case. (Kelum Bandara)

There is no scientific method in selecting and awarding ministries in the BS Govt. Please do not ruin the country anymore than it is now. This guy is not even good to be a MP, let alone giving this much responsibility.
