A special flight of SriLankan Airlines has left for Wuhan, China to bring back a group of Sri Lankan students, officials said.
Foreign Relations Ministry yesterday said the Chinese Government was expediting the request made by Sri Lanka to land a special aircraft in Wuhan City to evacuate Sri Lankan students and their family members.

While appreciating the efforts of Sri Lankan Airlines to bring our students back it should be necessary that the flight crew also be in quarantine with the students as they will be going into the worst affected region. Further I presume the aircraft will be thoroughly fumigated before it is put back into service. All kudos for the Govt for coming to the rescue of these unfortunate students

After fumigated we could put all our 225 inside the plane for two days to make sure it is safe.
