Sri Lankan remanded in Tamil Nadu

One person who came from Sri Lanka in a boat and jumped off the vessel and escaped after seeing Coast Guard officials off Dhanushkodi near Rameswaram was remanded to judicial custody, police said. 

He along with another person jumped off their vessel and escaped after they saw the Coast Guard officials on Wednesday. 
One of them was arrested yesterday while a search was on for the other person, police said. 

A local court here remanded the arrested man to 15 days judicial custody, police said.(PTI)
