Shihan: 1994 D.B was the president and also minister of defense and Gamini was the leader of opposition, in 2001- 2004 Chandrika was the president and Mahinda was the leader of opposition. in 2015 My3 was the president and Nimal was the leader of opposition. being the presidents party dose not put you automatically in to the government.

The govt now is a UNP TNA goverment, showing its majority in parliament with UNP TNA votes. Funniest thing is TNA wanting the opposition leader post too with it.
