A 34-year-old was arrested with 20.9 kg of heroin worth approximately more than Rs.200 million at Madameepagama, Amabalangoda yesterday.
Police spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekara said the suspect was arrested with a small quantity of heroin on information received by the Ambalangoda Police and further questioning had led to the recovery of the large consignment of heroin as well as a kilo of ganja.
The suspect is to be produced at the Balapitiya Magistrate Court.

Other than Wele Suda and Siddique no one at the high end has been arrested. Still the availability of drugs is not reduced. So obviously some are profitting more by bringing in larger quantities.

Why cannot the Police question this guy as to how he got it and go up the ladder to get the wholestring to the top - or are Police not keen for that but shows us their bravado by getting some small dealers.
