Six inmates escape from Dalupotha Prison

Six inmates detained in connection with burglary and drug abuse have escaped from the Dalupotha Prison in Negombo this morning, Police said.

Search operations have been launched by the Prisons Department and the Police to arrest the inmates, who are scheduled to be released in February, 2017. (Tony Karunanayake)
