STF recover 20kgs of heroin in Kosgoda

The Special Task Force of Police yesterday recovered 20kgs of heroin during a raid in Kosgoda.

Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said a suspect was also arrested along with the heroin. He was handed over to the Police Narcotic Bureau.

Meanwhile, several other suspects were also arrested during raids in Mount Lavinia and Peliyagoda with 70 grams of heroin yesterday.

Drugs are now detected in Kgs. and metric tons in Sri Lanka. Is it due to the efficiency of Law Officers or due to the sudden boom of drug business?
