Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) General Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekara said yesterday that the SLFP MPs would not be attending the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) convention this Sunday.
He said the decision was taken at a meeting chaired by President Maithripala Sirisena last night.
“We decided not to go since the discussions between the two parties are on-going. The SLFPers including the President are of the view that none of the SLFP MPs should attend the SLPP convention,” Mr. Jayasekera said.
