A Sri Lankan cricket coach at Worcester in England, who teaches children and disabled people, is facing deportation to Sri Lanka because he doesn't earn enough money, BBC reported.

University of Worcester graduate Hemaka Patharinage needs to earn 30,000 euros a year to qualify for a Visa.

The 27-year-old had appealed to the Home Office to stay on human rights grounds. However, his appeal has been rejected and he's been given 20 days to leave the country.

IF he was that desperate to stay there, he could have done a 2nd job, which could have tipped the scales in his favor..than trying to stay back on a flimsy excuse..Now his chances even for a visit are very remote... poor immigration advice given or tried a cheap source..

Thousands of Visas have been rejected under this category over the past years. How come this is news now ? I’m pretty sure there are more sympathetic cases than a 27 year old cricket coach as some of the families were deported with their children putting their lives in jeopardy.
