SJB working committee appoints new office bearers: Fonseka as party Chairman

The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB)’s working committee appointed new office bearers including MP Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka as the party’s Chairman, and MP Harin Fernando as a Vice Chairman and Head of Operations.

Mr. Fernando confirmed to Daily Mirror the appointments.

Other appointments include former Non-Cabinet Minister Ajith P Perera as the Chief Executive Officer, MP Dr. Harsha de Silva as the Treasurer, MP Ranjith Madduma Bandara as the General Secretary, MP Tissa Attanayake as the National Organiser and MP Buddhika Pathirana as the Deputy National Organiser.

MPs Lakshman Kiriella, Kumara Welgama, Rajitha Senaratne, Ravindra Samaraweera and Imthiaz Bakeer Markar have been appointed as Senior Vice Chairmen. Thalatha Athukorala, P. Harrison, Gayantha Karunathilaka, Dilip Wedaarachchi, A. L H. M. Haleem, Sujeewa Senasinghe and Chandrani Bandara have been appointed Vice-Chairpersons. Eran Wickramaratne was appointed as Secretary -Research and Development, Nalin Bandara as a Deputy Secretary. Manusha Nanayakkara and S. M. Marikkar were appointed as media spokespersons.(Yohan Perera)

    Whilst Hon SF is an excellent choice one can never condone appointment of Harin F to any position. SJB have made a terrible' ' boo boo'. MM
