The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Parliamentary Group today unanimously decided to defeat the proposed 20th Amendment in Parliament, once it is presented.
The decision was made when the Parliamentary Group met with Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa in the chair.
The resolution was proposed by SJB Matara District MP Buddhika Pathirana and was seconded by Kurunegala District MP Ashok Abeysinghe.
It was also decided to hold a protest near the statute of Late Maduluwawe Sobitha Thera along the Japanese Friendship Bridge against the 20A. (Yohan Perera)

Good. Pls put your effort to defeat the 20A in the Parliament as 20A is purely against democracy. Whoever respect democracy should vote against the 20A.

This is the way a team should work, I guess if all members put their hearts and minds to the final decision, anything is possible

No point in passing resolutions in meetings, go into every village home and explain to them and mobilize the opposition of the masses.
