A Russian couple was arrested in Pelena, Weligama for overstaying their visa and violating immigration laws, Police said.
They were arrested while they were staying at a hotel in Pelena, Weligama.
Police initiated investigations on a complaint lodged by the hotel management that the couple had failed to settle the hotel bills.
Investigations revealed that their VISAs had expired on March 02, 2017.
They were to be produced in courts today.
