Former Minister MP Rishad Bathiudeen today connected via Skype technology to testify before the Presidential Commission probing Easter Sunday attacks.
MP Bathiudeen is currently in remand custody at the Magazine Prison, Welikada and he was unable to testify before the Commission in person due to the spreading COVID-19 in the country.
The Prison Official informed the Commission that two inmates next to the MP Bathiudeen's cell had tested positive for COVID-19 and there was risk of sending the witness to the Commission premises. (Yoshitha Perera)

Last time court rejected his bail application based on Covid 19 risk. I hope this time he will get bail. Prision officers might help Rishad to apply bail based on commission acceptance. What a game????
