More than 50 Sri Lankans who had illegally migrated to Reunion Island were deported by French authorities today.
The illegal Sri Lankan immigrants had reached the island on a fishing trawler.
Reunion Island is an islet close to Madagascar in the Indian Ocean and is being administered by the French. (T.K.G. Kapila)

Sri Lankans have become like cockroaches! Creeping to every nook and corner. Most decent countries now have a 'special treatment' rule at their immigration. What a disgrace!
