Reopening of universities will be postponed by another two weeks due to the prevailing COVID situation in the country, Education Minister G.L. Peiris said.
He told parliament that academic activities in universities were scheduled to resume on April 27. However, reopening of universities will have to be postponed by two weeks on the advice of Director General of Health Services.

Better if schools can be shut for two weeks too. Already few schools have had positive cases. Better be safe than sorry and let only the adults go to work if they can’t work from home for the next 2 weeks.
