Quarry accident kills one, injures two

A mass of metal rolled down a quarry from the top of a hill today, causing the death of a truck-driver and injuring two others who were loading metal into a truck.
The victim, P.H. Madura Gunasinghe, (57) was a resident of Thittagalla in Ahangama.
The injured who were pinned under the heap of metal were evacuated and rushed to hospital but the driver was pronounced dead on admission. (D.G. Sugathapala)
