Putin congratulates President on 73rd Independence Day of Sri Lanka

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on the occasion of the 73rd Anniversary of the Independence of Sri Lanka.

In his congratulatory message, the Russian President underlined that the relations between Russia and Sri Lanka are of traditionally friendly nature.

“I am confident that the further development of the constructive bilateral cooperation in the various fields fully meets the interests of our peoples, and is in line with the strengthening of the regional stability and security,” Putin said.

“I wish you, Mr. President, good health and every success, and to all your fellow citizens – well-being and prosperity,” he added.
