The Health Ministry yesterday urged the general public to minimize their visits to see patients admitted to hospitals.
Director General of Health Services Dr S. Sridharan requested the public to strictly adhere to health guidance as a precautionary measure during the current Covid-19 situation in the country,
Accordingly, he requested the public to maintain one-meter social distance, wash their hands and to wear face masks when visiting hospitals.
He also advised the public visiting hospitals to hand over the supplies by appropriate methods without directly meeting the patients.
The Director General urged patients to visit the rearrest hospitals for essential health services.
