Presidential candidates should pledge to eliminate drugs: President

Whoever the candidates contesting for the forthcoming presidential election, they should pledge to eradicate narcotics, President Maithripala Sirisena said today in Polonnaruwa.

He said the candidates should also pledge to implement the death penalty for the drug dealers.

The President made this remarks after inaugurating a model village constructed at Dimbulagala in Polonnaruwa.
Minister of Housing and Construction Sajith Premadasa also attended the event.

    Their is no country in the world that has eliminated drugs 100%, other than Singapore... not even Phillipines. To eliminate drugs 100%, do we have the level of discipline that Singapore leaders and citizens posses? Look at your own-self.
