The possibility of immediate resumption of day-to-day economic activities at provincial levels in order to safeguard the national economy was explored at a meeting chaired by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa today, the President's Media Division said.

As a pilot scheme they should open up Colombo and allow economic activities fast tracked. If the results are not favourable then more quarantining will be required. No point opening other provinces without Colombo as Colombo is the machine that runs the economy
